Thirty eight students from Echague campus and six from San Mariano campus passed the interview conducted by Service On Line Corporation, commissioned by the Singaporean government to screen students for their on the job training in Singapore.
Mr. William Lim, CEO of the firm personally conducted the interview last September 15 to student applicants who will be deployed to hotels and other business establishments in Singapore.
The student applicants are those enrolled in courses such as Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Business Management and Mass Communication who are scheduled to have their on the job training this year.
Lim said, that there will be no placement and agency fees to be collected from the students.
”Each of the trainees will receive S$250 (Singaporean dollars) as allowance per month and is entitled to receive an additional S$100 dollar per hour as overtime pay. All trainees will also avail of free dormitory, and use of appliances and kitchen wares while in Singapore” Lim said.
Singapore has been accepting ISU students especially in hotels for their on the job training, but the slots were given initially to the Cauayan HRM students.
This will be the first batch of trainees from the Echague cluster.
