Three graduates of the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) were among the 192 who made it in the Veterinarian Licensure Examination given by the Board of Veterinary Medicine in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro and Tuguegarao.
Dr. Janice Cristin Caasi, Dr. Romelito M. Santos and Dr. Marvin Valdez Pangilinan were among the 698 examinees who took the examination last August 2009.
Leading the list of passers are Annechelie Margallo Perez (UP Los Baños), Angelo Caramba Lagahid (Central Mindanao University) and Froilan Elegino Sanchez (Vizayas State College of Agriculture) with a common rating of 82.38.
I am looking forward to the day when the performance of ISU VetMed will be as it was during its early years… What support can the administration promise so that this program will not become extinct and just part of the history of the University. CHEd has just ordered the closure of some law schools, and as was stated it will also review the performance of schools in other programs that require licensure examination. I just cross my fingers that ISU will not become prey to this plan. It is notable that those three who passed were repeaters. How about the newly-graduated ones who took the exam the first time? What happened to them?
